Rock N’ Adventure Camp
2016 Registration is Now Open!
Earth Treks has teamed up with Terrapin Adventures to bring you a day camp brimming with non stop adventure and vertical challenge.
Climbing days include safety skills instruction, team building games and challenges, and loads of climbing. Adventure days are spent at Terrapin Adventures, a state-of-the-art high ropes adventure center at historic Savage Mill. Under the guidance of Terrapin Adventure’s specially trained staff, campers will glide through the forest on a 330′ Zip Line, experience 2 G’s of force on the Giant Swing, and test their mettle 40′ up on the High Ropes Challenge Course and Climbing Tower. Other activities include mountain biking and a geo-cache treasure hunt using handheld GPS devices.
Each session is divided into two groups of no more than 12 participants (Session A or B). Drop off and pick up location vary depending on the activity for that day (see below for details). For climbing days pick up / drop off is at Earth Treks Columbia and for Adventure Days the pick up / drop off is at Terrapin Adventures. The two sites are conveniently only six miles apart. Monday thru Thursday session A and B will alternate between the two sites, then on Friday both groups will re-group at Terrapin Adventures for a high adventure team challenge. Each day of camp will begin at 9:00am and end at 3:00pm at the respective site. Extended care is not available for the Rock n’ Adventure Camp.
