Matt is a certified personal trainer who has spent the past 4 years helping people attain their climbing, fitness, health, and lifestyle goals. Matt’s experience has taken him to many parts of the country to coach and train athletes of all ages and ability levels. His passions include training for climbing, body weight strength training, and functional fitness. Matt grew up playing soccer and basketball until he found climbing while attending school at the University of Maryland, College Park where he earned his BS in Kinesiology. Matt is an avid boulderer and loves discovering new movements and ways to maintain a fun, healthy lifestyle.

Stu is a certified ACE personal trainer, climbing coach and fitness instructor for Earth Treks Climbing Centers, specializing in both functional and climbing specific fitness. With a BS in Biology from the University of Maryland. Stu enjoys science, bouldering, and sport climbing; forever on a quest for that perfect line. Having trained a variety of athletes, climbers and fitness enthusiasts, whether you are looking to break through a climbing plateau, improve a specific athletic performance or to adopt a more healthy and active lifestyle, Stu is able to help you achieve your goals.

Ben has an extensive background in the fitness world; in addition to being a certified personal trainer he is also TRX, and Yoga certified. He is a firm believer in fun, creative exercise, who specializes helping others achieve their resistance training, functional fitness, and climbing specific training goals. Mike is an avid, passionate boulderer who loves traveling to different destinations to climb, camp, and explore.

Crystal is a NASM certified personal trainer, a licensed chiropractic assistant, and is currently pursuing a certification in fitness nutrition. Her passion for holistic, healthy living has allowed her to coach clients of all abilities and she firmly believes that mastering a healthy lifestyle doesn't require a massive overhaul of your life, just patience and determination. Crystal has been a competitive volleyball player most of her life and has recently found a new love for climbing. Although she is new to the climbing world, she loves to build fun, functional and performance driven fitness programs that fit each of her clients' individual needs to help them attain their climbing and fitness goals.

Won is a certified personal trainer with over 10 years of training experience. His passion for helping others reach their full potential has allowed him to work with many amazing athletes, ranging from the elites to those rehabilitating from surgeries on their road to full recovery. Won lives and teaches the way of full functional fitness, which includes emphasis on mobility, agility, strength conditioning and athletic development. He grew up climbing and playing lacrosse throughout his childhood and college years. He earned his MBA from University of Baltimore, where he served as the head coach for the men’s lacrosse team. Won is an avid trad climber who seeks out the best places to climb around the globe.

Katelyn is a licensed physical therapist; currently studying for her CSCS certification. Her understanding of the biomechanics of movement and climbing allow her to develop programs to optimize the mobility, strength, and power of climbers and athletes of all levels. Katelyn grew up competitively swimming throughout her childhood and college years, cross-training each summer with climbing. She earned her BA in Biology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and continued on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University. Katelyn is an avid sport climber who loves discovering new ways to maximize performance, function, and fun.

I started coaching competitive rock climbing 6 and a half years ago at Western Washington University after founding a climbing team and coaching them to three back to back championships. This 2016 season was my most successful season ever as a coach, helping Team Earth Treks achieve both Regional and Divisional Championships in Bouldering, Sport, and Speed. I specialize in training people to achieve their personal best in climbing and fitness- if that means climbing 5.9, being a national champion, or even just getting to the gym more, I can help you get there!
